Exceptional baseball players are selected (30 per team) from universities and colleges nationwide. Every player must have had at least one year of college eligibility remaining.

Valley Baseball League players gain recognition by Major League Scouts who frequent the games up and down the Valley. Many former Valley Baseball League players have made it to the Majors.

Most of the Royals’ players arrive in Winchester from all over the country. While here for the summer, they live with local host families. Those players who need part time employment work for supporting businesses in our community. Sponsorships and promotional advertising packages, as well as admission to games, help finance the team’s expenses. The players are not paid to play ball, as stipulated by NCAA regulations.
