The Winchester Royals and the Valley Baseball League in which they play would not exist if it weren’t for the help and support of countless volunteers throughout out the Shenandoah Valley.
Thanks to the volunteers who provide meals after a game, help house our players and support our teams each season, we’re able to:
assist student-athletes to determine whether they want to pursue a career in professional baseball by giving them the opportunity to perform at a higher level of competition;
support the game of summer collegiate baseball by offering opportunities for student-athletes to hone skills and knowledge they can take back to their institutions;
provide the highest caliber of amateur baseball in the Shenandoah Valley for the enjoyment of families and baseball enthusiasts.
All of the teams in the Valley League, including the league itself, are non-profits, 501(c) (3)'s and we are always looking for volunteers.
Coming to a board meeting. They are open to the public, you don't have to be a member to attend. Meeting dates can be found on our Event Calendar and are also posted on Twitter.
Sponsoring a team meal. The players are always hungry and always appreciate a good meal. Feeding the teams isn’t expensive either. The average team meal costs approximately $150 dollars.
Housing a player. This league and our team wouldn’t be possible if we had to provide housing for these players. This is a great way to get involved with the team. Plus it is wonderful to watch your player in the games each night and often housing a player turns into a life long friendship.
Sponsoring the team. We also offer business sponsorships.
Making a financial donation. We welcome financial donations of any size.
